Alex Bourdiaux - Associate Professional

Alex is a French native from Paris, France who relocated to Ohio in 2019. He first came to Berea in 2012 to play tennis at Baldwin Wallace University during a foreign exchange program. That year the team won the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular season and tournament titles. Alex was awareded ALL OAC Rookie of the Year with a 24-1 record in singles play, and went 22-5 in doubles helping the team achieve a single-season school record for victories at 29-1. Alex is certified from the French Federation of Tennis (FFT) to teach juniors. He has played tennis competively in France and the U.S., but also in Italy and the Netherlands where he lived witnessing firsthand various cultural approaches to the game and the competition. Alex also worked for three years at the Roland Garros French Open Championships in Paris coordinating tennis apparel and merchandise retail.
