Julie joined the staff in 2022 as our first ever Pickleball Coordinator! From Canal Fulton, she is a recognized pickleball enthusiast and promoter in the area, and has shared her expertise with us to launch our pickleball programming. Julie has bachelors degrees from The University of Akron in Physical Education and Health Education. She also holds a masters degree in Outdoor Education. Julie is a retired physical education teacher from Jackson Local Schools where she taught at the middle and high school. In 2022, Julie traveled to Florida as a pickleball competitor and won Gold at the US Open Pickleball Championships in 3.5 Mixed 60 & over, and won Silver in Women's 3.5 60 & over National Senior Games. Julie has successfully completed Pickleball Coaching International's PCI Certification Level 1.
