Wearing real tennis shoes to play tennis, is just as important as the racquet you have in your hand. Tennis shoes are specifically manufactured to prevent injury, and provide the best comfort and feel to improve your game. Running shoes are designed for a forward motion only. Tennis shoes are made for lateral movement in all directions, have flat soles and are more durable.
Towpath carries a variety of styles in men’s, women’s, and junior shoes from Nike, Adidas, K-Swiss, Wilson and Yonex. Our shoe wall has the greatest selection available in the area. Take advantage and come in to try the shoes on and make sure you find the perfect style, support and fit for your feet. Plus, you’ll always find great deals on sale and clearance footwear too!

Towpath has the largest selection of in-stock racquets to purchase and demo in Northeast Ohio. Whether you are a beginner, or a high-level competitive player, we have something for everyone in our shop. We carry the latest technology from Babolat, Wilson, Head, Dunlop, and Yonex! Junior racquets are also available starting at 21” and up.

All of our demos are available on-site for trial, free of cost to members. Most demos are have a 4 1/4 grip, and some are also available in a 4 3/8 grip. Demos may be checked out at the front desk at your time of play.
Stringing service
The shop at Towpath stocks various types of string for every kind of player looking for control, power and comfort. We even offer the most customized options with a hybrid of two different strings in the mains and crosses. We guarantee all racquet stringings within three days, and conveniently provide a sticker on your racquet that lists the date, string type and tension. Another benefit of having your racquet strung with us, is we have an extensive log of all of our string history, and can quickly look up exactly what we’ve done for your past racquets. Racquetball racquets are also accepted.
Frequent stringer card
A special frequent stringer card is available for all customers. Each stringing is noted on the card and customers are eligible for discounts after their third stringing. A sixth stringing will be free! (Stringings with a new racquet string discount or customers that provide their own string do not apply.)
The Shop at Towpath has all kinds of tennis accessories! From court equipment to tennis bags, we’ve got you covered. We have the largest inventory of grips, overgrips, dampeners, wristbands and anything a tennis player would need on the court available in our tech room.
Gifts for the tennis enthusiast are often hard to find, but not in our shop! We have unique, tennis gifts in drinkware, stuffed animals, magnets, ornaments, towels, stationary and more! We also gift wrap for free!!
The Shop at Towpath is now carrying pickleball equipment! We currently have paddles from Wilson, Head, Babolat, Paddletek, Selkirk and Joola, as well as paddle covers. Franklin and Selkirk pickleballs are also available for purchase. In addition, we have pickleball shoes from K-Swiss, Nike, Adidas, and Skechers, and bags from Ame & Lulu, Franklin and Joola. Plus, our Towpath logo wear now includes pickleball logo apparel. Watch for more as we continue to expand our inventory!

Not sure what to get? Give the gift of choice with a Towpath gift card! Gift cards can be purchased in any amount, and used towards the purchase of any merchandise, lesson or program! Just ask the front desk.
Return Policy
A receipt is required for all returns. All returns after 30 days are for store credit only. There are no returns on special orders, team orders and final clearance.
