Dallas Aleman

Dallas Aleman is the owner of Towpath Tennis Center. He has been a RSPA (formerly USPTA) Professional since 1973. Dallas played collegiate tennis at the University of Akron where he graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts. Dallas also received J.D. from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 1977. After completing law school, he had an offer to return to Akron and work at Towpath Racquet Club with a buy/sell agreement to take over ownership. As an active professional, he has taught thousands of area juniors. Many have gone on to play at the collegiate level. He has promoted and organized programs, and helped design the construction of courts and buildings to redevelop the entire footprint of Towpath Tennis Center. Dallas is a past president of the Northeast Ohio Tennis Association and participates actively in many USTA affairs. Currently, Dallas serves as the Midwest Section Club Taskforce Committee. In 2024, Dallas was recognized for 50 years of service to the USPTA. In 2025, Dallas was awarded the Fay Tooley award, and was inducted into the RSPA Hall of Fame. Dallas has a passion to share the sport with others, and is proud to say he’s never had another job outside of tennis.
